Blepharoplasty without surgery or with surgery?
More and more people are interested in undergoing aesthetic treatments that can correct drooping eyelids. With these treatments what we achieve is to give a greater expressiveness to the look.
Surely, this is the reason why non-surgical blepharoplasty has become one of the most sought after treatments in the entire Spanish territory, being in third position among all plastic surgery treatments. And it is not difficult to imagine the reason for this, since we could say that the look is the main feature of expression in the human being, so it is normal for us to worry that their appearance allows them to have the greatest possible capacity for expressiveness.
Even with all the popularity that blepharoplasty has, due to its effective results and the multiple studies that have been dedicated to it, more and more patients prefer blepharoplasty without surgery instead .
This is due to the fact that it has very similar results and that it occurs without having to subject the patient to a process as invasive as plastic surgery. In addition, it is a reversible treatment with a duration of between five and ten years.
What is blepharoplasty without surgery?
Non-surgical blepharoplasty is one of the most popular procedures in aesthetic medicine. Its main objective is to eliminate excess skin around the eyes, including both the upper and lower eyelids, as well as the small wrinkles that form with the movement of the gaze.
Blepharoplasty is one of the most effective techniques in the world of aesthetic medicine, and is worked through the Plasma Pen or the CO2 Laser.
The Plasma Pen is a device that works from the plasma of matter, generating small discharges of electrons that will achieve a small superficial burn that removes excess skin, this device will generate micro wounds without the risk of injuries or scars.
CO2 laser treatment is a highly effective technique to remove excess skin on the eyelids. The laser selectively vaporizes the areas of excess skin, which produces an immediate retraction of the skin.
BLEFARO WITH PLEXR OR CO2 LASER?
To carry out this treatment, a precise point-to-point technique is used, similar to the plasma technology used in devices such as Plexr. However, the CO2 laser allows for greater precision, allowing the terminal parameters to be adjusted to vaporize each area differently based on individual needs, such as skin thickness and amount of excess skin.
Each laser shot produces a precise retraction equal to the previous one, provided the same parameters are used. In summary, the CO2 laser is a highly effective tool to correct excess skin on the eyelids, providing precise and consistent results.
Although their main objective is to improve the appearance of the look, these techniques They can be used to eliminate wrinkles that occur in other parts of the body , such as around the lips, on the forehead or on the neck. However, the greatest effectiveness of the treatment is seen around the eyes, which is why it is the area that is most recommended to treat.
When are the results of blepharoplasty without surgery seen?
It is not a treatment for which a surgical intervention is needed, much less a long recovery, the procedure can be completed in a single session and the results will begin to be visible the same day, but it will take at least a month for the final results of the procedure to be appreciated.
Although non-surgical blepharoplasty is a very good alternative to improve the appearance of the gaze, it is designed to correct small imperfections, especially caused by age. So it will not be 100% effective for those patients who are looking for a very drastic change, although yes, they may have a very noticeable aesthetic improvement.
What is the specific procedure of blepharoplasty without surgery?
This aesthetic medical treatment does not have major complications, so its procedure tends to be very simple and of a very short duration. It usually does not exceed an hour and a half.
The process for which you must be prepared if you decide to undergo this treatment is the following:
- Physiognomic study of the patient: prior to treatment, a study of the patient must be carried out, from which it will be possible to identify the needs of the patient.
- Hydration process: to start the treatment, we will have to submit the area that we are going to treat to a process through which its elasticity and hydration are improved, in this way the final results of the procedure will be more lasting and effective.
- Anesthetic cream: An anesthetic cream may be applied to the specific area to be treated to perform this procedure. This treatment is painless, but it can generate minor discomfort in patients, the application of the anesthetic cream will be available to the patient.
- Use of the Plasma Pen or CO2 Laser: when the area to be treated is properly prepared, the professional may proceed with the chosen device on the specific areas to be treated.
What care should be taken after a blepharoplasty without surgery?
Although it is a minimally invasive aesthetic technique, there are some precautions that must be taken into account after its completion:
- We will have to avoid direct sunlight in the area for at least the first 48 hours after performing the treatment.
- It is important to keep the area in which we have performed the treatment very well sanitized, it should be washed with water at least 3 times a day, and using antiseptics for at least the first 7 days after the treatment.
- Avoid wearing makeup until the scabs are completely gone.
- Do not expose yourself to high temperatures during the first 72 hours (saunas, hot showers, Turkish baths…)
- Apply moisturizing creams, preferably recommended by the medical professional in charge of the procedure.
- Take good care of your skin in the sun, always applying a good sunscreen and wearing sunglasses when going out during the first 3 months after treatment.
